Pain in the waist area to the hips, sometimes to the feet, should not be underestimated. Especially if the pain is causing you to have difficulty walking, then this should be immediately examined and handled by a doctor. Here are some possible causes for your complaint:
- Low back pain, possibly caused by a backbone disorder.
- Osteoporosis or bone loss. Usually complaints will also get worse if there is a history of injury / fall.
- Osteoarthritis or calcification of joints
- Gout arthritis, because uric acid is too high in the body
- Urinary tract stones
- Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
- Avoid heavy activities, especially lifting heavy loads and up and down stairs.
- Sleeping with a flat, rather hard base.
- Increase consumption of healthy foods, including milk (special attention if you have a history of heart disease and diabetes).
- If you are very sick you can take pain relievers that are quite safe like paracetamol.
