5 Good Fats for Weight Loss


Many people avoid consuming fatty foods so they can lose weight. However, actually avoiding fat can harm the body and will not help the weight loss process. A study found evidence that fatty foods can actually help someone lose weight in a healthy way.

Fat is one of the three macronutrients that are important to sustain a healthy life. Fat helps develop a protective layer of nerves. Human tissue consists of fat, so putting aside fat from food will never be a good idea.

The study was conducted by researchers at the University of Washington in St. Louis U.S. Researchers activate the Hedgehog pathway in fat cells in mice and give them high fat foods without making them overweight.

Therefore, avoiding fatty foods is not good for the body. Provided that, choose good fat instead of saturated fat which can trigger bad cholesterol in the body. Boldsky on Sunday (10/12) mentioned five foods that contain high fat which can reduce weight.

1. Avocados

Avocados are full of fat. But the fats contained in avocados are good fats or monounsaturated fats called oleic acids. Avocados are rich in fiber and potassium and help a person to lose weight.

2. Black Chocolate

Black chocolate is rich in good fat and contains calories. But because of its antioxidant properties, dark chocolate lowers cholesterol and blood pressure. Research shows that eating limited amounts of dark chocolate can improve memory.

3. Peanuts

Nuts are rich in fiber, protein, vitamin E, and other important minerals. Eating nuts regularly can prevent diabetes and obesity.

4. Chia seeds

Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids that are healthy for the heart. Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, consuming chia seeds lowers blood pressure and is good for the heart.

5. Olive Oil

Extra virgin olive oil contains good fats such as oleic acid. In addition, it also contains vitamins E and K, also contains powerful antioxidants. Can fight inflammation, lower blood pressure, and reduce the risk of heart disease.
